Inno Sense Pelham Jointed

The TRUST Inno Sense Pelham Jointed is a leverage bit for experienced riders. It combines the action of a snaffle and a curb in one mouthpiece, made from the soft Inno Sense material.

A pelham combines the action of a snaffle and a curb in one mouthpiece. You can ride it with one or two reins; with one rein, you'll need a pelham strap to connect the bit rings. Because it works with leverage it gives you more control, and the longer the shanks, the stronger the effect. It's mainly used for strong horses, horses with too little room in the mouth for two mouthpieces, and horses getting used to a curb. It isn't suitable for inexperienced riders.

The single-jointed mouthpiece acts on the bars and the sides of the tongue, leaving the tongue more freedom and encouraging the horse to work with the bit. Inno Sense is TRUST's softer mouthpiece material, developed for horses that benefit from extra softness and comfort without compromising on function and safety. It reduces discomfort and helps the horse accept the bit, and it contains no plasticizers.
