The BR Double Jointed Loose Ring Snaffle Slightly Curved Soft Contact 16 mm is an anatomically shaped bit with a golden Cuprigan mouthpiece, made for a soft and even connection with the horse's mouth.
The anatomical design follows the shape of the mouth for gentle, even pressure, and the slightly curved mouthpiece leaves a little more room for the sides of the tongue. The bit applies mild pressure overall.
It's made of solid Cuprigan (89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron, 1% zinc) with stainless steel rings. As the Cuprigan oxidises it gives a pleasant smell and taste, which encourages chewing and saliva production for a soft connection with a sensitive mouth.
The double-jointed mouthpiece has three parts: the middle section lies flat on the tongue, so it puts more pressure on the tongue than a single-jointed bit. The loose rings let the mouthpiece move freely, allowing plenty of movement in the mouth. That makes this one of the most easily accepted bit types.
